IT Support Specialist – Retail Industry
Job Description
smartcareer is seeking an IT Support Specialist to ensure our retail operations run smoothly across various store locations. You will provide tech support for point-of-sale (POS) systems, employee workstations, and network infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide troubleshooting support for POS systems, workstations, and network devices.
- Assist with setting up new POS devices and ensuring connectivity to retail servers.
- Respond to and resolve technical issues quickly to minimize downtime.
- Provide technical support for employees regarding software, email, and hardware issues.
- Maintain store inventory of IT assets and ensure all systems are properly updated and patched.
Skill & Experience
- POS Systems: Troubleshooting and support for retail POS systems (e.g., NCR, Clover)
- Networking: Knowledge of wired and wireless network setups
- Experience: 2+ years of IT support experience in the retail or service industry
- Certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+
